The appointment is in an interdisciplinary program and will require working with colleagues in political science, history, religion, and language and literature, so preference will be given to applicants with a proven commitment to interdisciplinarity.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures or a related field in hand by the time of appointment. The teaching load is 2/2. Additional duties include advising and mentoring students, carrying on a program of research, and participating in faculty governance at the departmental and university level.
