Digital Media and Computer Science
The Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies and the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences at the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus invite applications for a tenure-track position jointly appointed within the Visual Arts and Computer Science programs. The appointment will be at the rank of Instructor I and will begin on January 1, 2015 or soon thereafter. The successful candidate will take an active part in the development of a new Digital Media program that will create interdisciplinary links among programs across the University.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Digital Media program and will teach courses in Visual Arts and Computer Science that align with the program. Along with the development of curricular innovations in undergraduate courses, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain excellence in teaching and educational leadership. There is no expectation that the successful candidate will undertake research activities, but s/he will be required to keep abreast of current developments in the fields of Digital Media and pedagogy. The position also will include service responsibilities.
