Call For Papers
Azerbaijan in the World is a biweekly online publication of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.  Launched in February 2008, it seeks to promote the broadest possible discussion of issues concerning Azerbaijani foreign policy and international relations by both
Azerbaijani scholars and practitioners and those from other countries.

Azerbaijan in the World is currently seeking submissions falling within the following broad themes, among others:
- Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict; - Azerbaijan's interactions with different regions (East Europe, Western Europe, Middle East, Central Asia, CIS, Latin America, North America, East Asia, South Asia);-Azerbaijan's interactions with neighbours and major powers outside its immediate region (e.g. with the United States, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, China, Japan, Pakistan, India, Israel) - Azerbaijan's interactions within multilateral frameworks (WTO, OSCE, CoE,…

The 7th International Conference on E-governance (ICEG-2010) scheduled during 22-24 April, 2010 at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), India.

The conference will include a highly selective technical program comprising parallel tracks on key conference themes consisting of submitted papers, a small set of invited papers on important topics from well-known leaders in the field, and poster sessions of early work.

Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished papers, nominating a theme-related track or designating the paper as non-theme related ("Other"). The conference program will be organized into the following themes and topics but not limited to:

Synopsis:

Any study of Central Eurasia connecting the two happening continents in a fast changing world order is a challenging task. Central Eurasia is broadly a generic term; its location, situation, ethnic character, rich resources and past experiences have made it a theatre of grand designs and games. The region often associated with terms such as great game, new great game, grand chess board, suddenly surfaced in international political arena aftermath of the 9/11, and then the urgency to bring the knowledge of the region gained ground. The region as a bridge between east and west has further reinforced its centrality in the post-cold war, post-Soviet world scenario.

FELLOWSHIPS- Middle East-Related Research at Harvard Kennedy School, 2010-11

The Dubai Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School is currently accepting Fellowship applications, for research related to the Middle East, for the 2010-2011 academic year. The deadline for applying is January 15, 2010.

The Dubai Initiative offers pre- and post-doctoral research fellowships as well as senior fellowships for one year, with a possibility for renewal. Both stipendiary and non-stipendiary appointments are available. Please note that stipendiary appointments are significantly more competitive, and financing is contingent upon non-guaranteed funding from our sponsor! To improve your chances of acceptance, please indicate whether you are willing to accept a non-stipendiary or partially funded appointment.
