Exhibit of Icons at Seton Hall University Libraries-October 2009
Seton Hall University Libraries is hosting 2 events this fall, both of which are free and open to the public. The first is an exhibit of icons, many of which come from the wonderful collection of the Heritage Museum of the Eparchy of Passaic. The exhibit is titled, Windows to Heaven, and runs from September 14-October 16, 2009. There will be an opening reception, Wednesday, September 16th, 5-8 pm. Location of exhibit and reception: Walsh Gallery, Seton Hall University Library, 400 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ.
The second event is a symposium open to the public. It is titled Journey to the Holy Icon: some insights into the icon collection of the Heritage Museum of the Eparchy of Passaic and has been organized by Fr. Joseph Bertha, Ph.D., SUNY-Binghamton, Administrator, St. Nicholas Church, Yonkers/White Plains, New York and the University Libraries, Seton Hall University. It will take place Saturday, October 10th, 2009 from 10-12 a.m. in the Walsh Gallery, Seton Hall University Library. Coffee/registration starts at 9:15 a.m.
